Parsytec equips new hot mill from Erdemir with Surface Inspection System
Aachen/Germany - 10 February 2006. Parsytec AG - the world's leading supplier of surface and web inspection systems for strip products - received an order from Siemens Industrial Solutions and Services (I&S) to deliver a surface inspection system for the to be build hot mill in the Iskenderun Iron and Steel Works of Erdemir in Turkey. Siemens itself has received the order for the complete electrical and automation equipment of this hot mill and decided to include the Parsytec system in its scope of supply.
Iskenderum Iron and Steel Works belong to Erdemir, which is the largest iron and steel company in Turkey. With double-digit growth rates, Turkey was a strong growing country with respect to steel production in the last years. After Parsytec delivered a first hot mill inspection system to the Eregli works of Erdemir in 2004, this is now the second Parsytec hot mill system to be applied by this steel producer.
